Homeless Shelter for Women and Children provides emergency housing and support for up to 24 women and children in Pasco County. Located in Hudson, this is the only homeless shelter for women and children who are not victims of domestic violence in the county. In addition to providing shelter, the program provides food, donated furniture, household items, advocacy and case management services for housing information and referrals, assistance in obtaining transitional/permanent housing, job search, counseling and linkages with other supportive services especially for homeless individuals and their families.

Residents are permitted to stay at the shelter for 30 days or more if the resident is actively working towards their self-sufficiency. Funding to support the shelter comes from Pasco County, the United Way of Pasco, state Emergency Shelter Grant, Emergency Food and Shelter Program (FEMA), Pasco County Homeless Coalition, local churches, community groups, and donations.
