Project Director of the Year Award
Bettina Dodson

The award is being presented to BETTINA DODSON,
project Director of the lead agency, Gulf Coast Community Care in
Pinellas County for implementing system changes that resulted in
100% compliance with the Department of Elder Affair's file
documentation requirements for Adult Protective Services referrals.
Bettina has worked for the lead agency in the
Program Director capacity since May 2007. Additionally, she has held
positions with the Department of Children and Families, Neighborly
Care Network and Family Resources. These positions provided her
extensive experience with adult protective services, case
management, adult day care, and intake services, all of which
fostered her leadership and management skills.
Bettina has a Bachelors Degree from the
University of South Florida and an Associates Degree from St.
Petersburg College. Her outstanding management of the lead agency in
this economic climate has been truly noteworthy and deserving of
attention.
Jackson Katz
Event
We are dedicated to bringing you the finest events
in the area - The Jackson Katz event was no exception! Mr. Katz is a
national speaker and author of the book "The Macho Paradox: Why Some Men
Hurt Women and How All Men Can Help."

Jackson Katz (second from left) gave an exceptional presentation
on Gender Violence; Violence Prevention; to a packed house at Gulf
Coast Community Care. He shared a powerful message of how the media
can help to prevent violence against women by changing the ways they
depict "Manhood", as well as, ways good men can take action to
prevent violence against women by changing attitudes. (3 CEUs were
provided for this 3 hour event)
(*Special thanks to Joe Lallanilla and
his staff for their hard work in putting this event together!
